The leaves will soon be changing colors and a cool, crisp air will awaken our senses. Fall is here. In this season of change, it's also an important time to evaluate and step up your skincare regimen.
1. Don't put away the sunscreen.
Many people are quick to stop applying sunscreen once the hot summer temperatures break. However, you should be wearing sunscreen ALL year round. The sun still has damaging UV rays regardless of temperature.
You enjoyed the summer sun, but it likely took a toll on your skin. Be sure to regularly exfoliate during your regular routine to slough away dead, dry skin and to keep your epidermis healthy and glowing. Just remember, not all exfoliants are created equal. Be sure to talk to your aesthetician to determine the best solution for your skin.
3. Increase your moisturizer.
As the days get cooler, they also tend to get drier. It's important to maintain a healthy skin barrier leading into the fall and winter. Use richer moisturizers and creams, right after your shower or bath while your skin is damp, to keep your skin supple and hydrated.
